The winner of the Al Ittihad vs Auckland City match will face African champions Al Ahly of Egypt in the second round beginning on Friday. Mexico’s Club Leon, the North and Central American champions and AFC Champions League winners Urawa Reds of Japan will go head-to-head in the other second-round match. The two winners of the second round will qualify for the semi-finals that feature UEFA Champions League winners Manchester City and South American representative Fluminense FC of Brazil. The FIFA Club World Cup 2023 final will be played at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah on December 22.
